In the superb new flim about a gentle giant, the Mirando Corporation ― the central enterprise that manufactures “super-pigs” to be raised for 10 years and then killed for mass consumption ― can’t be stopped. It wasn’t always going to be that way. Plus, "Spider-Man" is out today, hopefully salvaging summer blockbuster season.  The show’s casting director, John Papsidera, must go to great lengths to avoid spoiling the anticipated second season of the HBO show.  What else is new on Netflix? Be sure to catch "Lion" when it comes to the streaming service July 9. For TV, there's the new series "Gypsy," starring Naomi Watts. For older favorites, you can now stream "Best in Show" and "Emma." If you really want to get nostalgic, the original "Mighty Ducks" is now on the site as well. The quack attack is back, jack. Emmy-winning director Barry Sonnenfeld is recent Hollywood history in human form. We chatted with him about his career, yielding juicy tales from the Hollywood front lines. Before long, the Oxygen channel logo ― currently rendered in a cheerful purple shade ― will begin to recall the black-and-yellow severity of police tape.
